Kundalini yoga is a blend of shakti (power) with bhakti (love or devotion). Through mantra (focus and projection of the mind through sound), kriya (a series of poses designed to achieve a complete result), deep relaxation, and meditation this technology expands one’s awareness. It is a spiritual practice open to all faiths. Students are invited to have their own personal and unique experience with the Infinite, Nature, or their own understanding of Higher Power. “The purpose of kundalini yoga is to create a balance with the spirit, with the mind, and with the body. If that tri-balance can be achieved, the prosperity, the opportunity, the beauty, the world, the wonders, they will be at your feet.” - Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga
In this introduction to Kundalini Yoga workshop we will learn:
mantras used in each class
mudras (hand positions used to direct energy)
The best way to determine if this practice is for you is to try it! Bring an open mind and wear comfortable clothes. It is not recommended to eat a heavy meal before class.
